2011: Yara opens new Urea 7 plant at Sluiskil

This plant increases production capacity and supplies of urea, a vital raw material for the growing environmental solutions segment.

In October, Yara officially opened the new Urea 7 plant at Sluiskil, the Netherlands. Construction was completed at a cost of EUR 400 million, 10% below budget.  The expansion adds capacity of approximately 500,000 tons of urea equivalents, targeted for the delivery of environmental solutions. The new plant has state-of-the-art resource efficiency and heavily reduced emissions levels.
