The Siilinjärvi site in Finland produces mainly fertilizers and phosphoric acid, but also other industrial chemicals.
Phosphoric acids are refined in the fertilizer production and also used in the animal feed industry.
The Siilinjärvi site consists of a mine, two sulphuric acid plants, one phosphoric acid plant, one nitric acid plant and one NPK-fertilizer plant. The mine is the only producer of phosphate ore in Western Europe, and it produces apatite, biotite and calcite.
